There was a visit to Chile University, where, with the president of Chile Federation of Badminton, professor Carlos Figueroa Gonzales, there was an Exchange with brazilian para-athletes: they were able to know and practice this dinamycal modality. Professor Decio was beautifully defeated by professor Carlos. He also played a different modality, the “speedminton”, which can be played outside, and set a date for professor Carlos to visit Brazil for another exchange
The fifth day, the only break for the team, was dedicated to visit the Concha y Toro Wine Producer, and Cerro da Virgem, where the athletes and directors could meet all the beauty of Santiago and the power of realization of chilean people.
The closing of the Meeting happened in the community of Penalolen, in a wonderful Court, where two games were played, one of WCH4 and one of WCH7. They demonstrated the evolution of chilean selection during the exchange.
On the WCH4, the chilean team was very close to victory in the first set: they won the game for 3x2 and had the ball possession, 1 minute and a half away from the end of the set. They were not, however, able to manage the advantage, and gave up a tie, ending up by losing the game on the golden goal.
On WCH7, the presence of brazilian technical comission was decisive to unbalance the game in court, and the brazilians ended up wining the game and the trophy offered by chilean organizators.
The ending was defined by emotion, with Professor Décio remembering the visit of Catalina Jimeno and Francisco Cortez to Toledo in 2008, and the founding of the chilean selection that followed. On the brazilian visit to Chile, there was an important sportive exchange, and it was noticed that the graduating of technicals and referees may encourage the begining of a WCH Chilean Championship.
There was a course for that, and 30 students and professores took part in it. We can enlighten the presence of international referees of handball, college professors Palmoa, from Chile University, and Francisca, from America University, besides the president of Chile Federation of Badminton, professor Carlos Gonzales.
